Amazon.com Product Description
Milwaukee Tools is world-renowned for producing powerful, heavy-duty tools for contractors, mechanics and demanding professionals in every trade. That very same devotion to power, performance and innovation was applied when Milwaukee created the 0928-29 V28 Four-Piece Combo Kit. Included are a hammer-drill/driver, circular saw, reciprocating saw, and work light. All four tools are powered by a high-performance 28-volt lithium-ion battery that weighs less than an 18-volt Ni-Cad, yet delivers twice the run time. The battery has a handy "fuel gauge" that shows how much power remains.

The hammer-drill/driver has a 1/2-inch keyless chuck and a two-speed, variable-speed motor (zero to 600 rpm, and zero to 1,800 rpm) that delivers a pumped-up 600 in./lbs. of torque. The chuck is equipped with carbide jaws that virtually eliminate bit slippage. There's no hole too large to drill, or screw too big to drive for this portable powerhouse. And when it's switched to the hammer mode, this tool will quickly bore through the hardest concrete, brick or stone.

The 6-1/2-inch circular saw is arguably the most powerful cordless saw on the market. According to Milwaukee, this saw can crosscut more than 300 pine 2 by 4s on a single charge. It's equipped with a high-speed 4,200-rpm motor that chews through wood like a corded saw.

The cordless Sawzall recip saw is an ideal tool for remodelers, plumbers, and electricians. When fitted with the appropriate blade, it'll cut practically any building material, including nail-embedded wood, metal ducts, plastic pipe, steel rods and roof shingles. Its two-speed, variable-speed motor (zero to 2,000, and zero to 3,000 strokes per minute) lets you choose the optimum cutting speed for the material. The saw has an aggressive 1-1/8-inch stroke length, and is equipped with a tool-free blade clamp and keyless adjustable shoe. The work light comes in handy when working in dark spaces. It has a super-bright xenon bulb that runs over five hours on a single charge.

All four pieces come with the patented Clip-Lok System, which allows you to securely hook the tool onto your belt or tool pouch. Besides the four tools, the 0928-29 combo kit also includes two 28-volt lithium-ion batteries, a one-hour charger, saw blades and screwdriver tips, and an oversized canvas storage bag. -- Joseph Truini

5 out of 5 stars Go Big Red!!   July 6, 2010
Milwaukee Man (Illinois)
I bought this kit a year ago to replace Ridgid 24 volt products. I am not a contractor or tradesman but like to have enough tool to get the job done. The Sawzall is the most impressive, I have cut up cast iron, aluminum and all kinds and grades of wood with this thing and it doesn't miss a beat. The circ saw will bog down when cutting/ripping a 1" piece of plywood, a slower pace will remedy this just fine. The drill is a beast and can be used just like a corded version, be careful as this thing will snap your wrist like dry wood if you are not braced. There are a couple of complaints. First, battery prices are out of site in the high direction and the sawzall and circ saw use them up at a pretty good clip. The batteries should be priced around 90 bucks for anyone to consider a relpacement/spare rather than 160 bucks. The flashlight should be upgraded to the LED at this price. Overall, I am very impressed with this set and how it performs. I have had no reason to use a cordless version of any these tools since I bought the kit.

5 out of 5 stars 28 Volt Millwaulkie tool kit   June 12, 2010
saw dust maker (centeral New York)
I had a project that required either a generator or a good set of cordless tools. I opted for the Milwaukee 28 volt tool set. Although the 61/2 circular saw was everything I expected and needed it to be it is no match for a corded tool. It is however the best cordless tool on the market that I know of or have used personally. It's not from the planet Krypton as some of the reviewers would have you believe but it works well for framing etc. I would rather have done without the flashlight and opted for another battery. The drill is heavy but quite manageable with all the power that should be expected from a cordless tool. the Sawzall was the big surprise for me as it handles and has the strength and weight of my corded one. But the primary reason I bought the kit was for the circular saw. It served all the purposes that I bought it for and is light and easy to handle. So far I have only framed and sheathed one small building out in the woods, and tiome will tell how they hold up to normal general construction conditions. The delivery was on time, and in good order. I am pleased.

3 out of 5 stars Needs improvement   December 21, 2009
Kenneth Innovative Cabinetry (MD USA)
I bought a kit like this about 2 yr's ago. I own a cabinet shop in MD. So for installations its one bag of tools instead of several seperate boxes to carry in the home. I have noticed the sawzal runs the battery dry very quickly. As does the circular saw. The cold drains the battery's as well. The drill works well in any material. The bags support rods have poked thru the bag @ the ends around the zipper area. Lucky for me my install's need little cutting on site. So my three stars reflect the cost vs. the outcome. I do not use these tools everday. The batteries do have the charge indicator lights to tell how drained it is before you use it. If nothing else the Drill is a excellent product in the V28. If your a handy man and wish to use this bag of tools everyday you may be disapointed in a year.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT SET!!!!   July 8, 2009

I am a plumber/pipefitter by trade and this is best set i've laid my paws on. Very rough on my tools and these have held up great. Solid tools and top-notch torque. I have had several cordless tools and none have compared. Very happy with them:)

5 out of 5 stars Great value especially with Factory freebie   June 22, 2009

These tools are a great value, especially when you fingure in the free promotional tool Milwaukee gives away if you buy the kit before July 31, 2009.

The skill saw is the best sordless saw ever, as is the sawzall. I've had a corded milwaukee sawzall since 1978, and the 28 volt cordless is a much better tool.

The hammer drill is great, but heavy. I may end up buying the 18 volt hammer drill as it will handle most light jobs. The 28 vlt charges, will also charge the 18 volt batteries.

After buying the kit, I went to the Milwaukee web site, and they were having a promotion and for free they sent the 28 volt 1/2 inch drive impact wrench. This wrench is the real thing, will replace my 1/2 air drive.
