Powerful, Adjustable Fastening for Precise, Clean Work
The Bostitch HP118K is well-suited for use with slim or delicate materials that might be split by an 18-gauge nail or brad. With this tool and set of 23-gauge pin nails, you can save time and money by preventing damage to work surfaces. An ideal choice for woodworking applications, the HP118K provides effective fastening for glue sets that are tough or impossible to clamp, and it will help you avoid the witness marks or holes that can be left by other driver heads, letting you create clean finished products.

Designed to keep you in control at all times, this nailer offers an adjustable high/low power control that sets pin depths without requiring you to adjust your compressor setting. It backs this precision with the ability to deliver 60 in./lbs. of driving power, so you can be sure that each pin is securely seated.

With the ability to handle 23-gauge headless pin nails that range from 1/2 inch to 1-3/16 inches, this nailer enables you to utilize a wide range of fasteners for job-specific performance. And its magazine capacity of 200 pins allows you to work without stopping to reload.

Ergonomic Design for Comfort and Convenience
The HP118K offers a full range of design features dedicated to smooth, safe, and intuitive use. It features a low-profile nosepiece that tapers down to the contact point which offers a clear line-of-site for perfect placement. An over-molded grip ensures slip-free handling, and it is balanced to sit comfortably in your hand during extended use. And, for added comfort while you work, the nailer's rear exhaust directs air away from your face. The pin nailer also features a reversible belt hook for convenience on the job.

Its compact body is easy to maneuver, which is of particular importance when doing intricate work like crafting custom cabinetry or picture frames, and, thanks to a durable, lightweight aluminum housing, it weighs just 2.5 pounds.

Reliable, Pneumatic Performance
This lightweight durable tool operates between 70 and 120 PSI and includes a 1/4-inch NPT fitting for easy coupling with your air hose and compressor.

This pin nailer is backed by a manufacturer's 7-year limited warranty.

5 out of 5 stars Bostitch pinned it, and I can't see where.   August 30, 2010

This is a great pin nailer with an almost invisible hole. Be sure to hold the nailer straight, and consider the direction of the grain, so that the pins will not blow out the side of the project, Other than that(my fault), it is excellent.

5 out of 5 stars This time it's perfect!   August 8, 2010

If you're like me, most of the power tools you buy have some little flaw or quirk that disappoints you. You end up making your own modifications to the tool or leaving it on the shelf. Well not this time! This thing works as advertised and exceeded my expectations (a rare accomplishment for a tool manufacturer).

I just finished a huge oak cabinet project that employs beaded face frames. I made all the beads by hand and pinned them with this tool. Every set was perfect, not 1 jam and the holes became invisible after the second coat of poly. I highly recommend this tool.

By the way, I read all the negative reviews on this tool and concluded that those guys were using a pinner in applications that called for a brad or finish nailer or were simply misusing the tool. Don't believe all that noise. The trick to getting perfect results is using the right air pressure (I use 85 lbs) and resting the tool on the surface rather than pressing down when firing. When used properly and for its designated purpose, delicate trim work, this tool is perfect.

This is a fine nailer that is easy to operate and makes nailing a pleasure. Well, almost a pleasure. The tool comes in a handy storage case. Enclosed with the nailer is the user manual, a packet of nails and a small jar of lubricant. The price is right and so is the tool.

This is a nice nailer. It came as advertised and worked very well out of the box.

I've owned this pin nailer for about 5 years & found it to be a very good value for the money. It's performed almost flawlessly & has held up well. There have been no repairs required, even though it's been used in a commercial setting & not always treated kindly.

The tool is slightly larger than other guns that shoot pins in the 1 1/4" range, but is not unwieldy. The dual trigger safety takes a little getting used to initially, but becomes second nature once you've used it a bit. I've found the power adjustment lever to be unnecessary & always leave it set to the maximum position.

If I could improve one thing on the tool, I'd make it oil-less like the other finish guns in the Bostitch lineup. Other than that, I feel it's one of the top 23g tools in this price range.
