If you have to get into concrete or masonry, you have to get this tool into your arsenal. Chip out in hammer-only mode; drill into wood or metal with the rotation mode; drill and drive into concrete and masonry with the hammer drill mode--the 7.5 amp motor never even flinches. It's packing 2.3 foot-pounds of impact energy, yet it's impressively lightweight and easy on the body. We think that's partly due to its surprisingly compact size and streamlined L-shape design; the tool feels incredibly balanced, and as a result, we felt superb control. Its smaller size would be great in tight places like a basement crawlspace. We like that there's a dust extraction connection, though we don't know how often we'd actually use it.
