The DC988KA is designed with a three speed transmission and offers a maximum speed of 2,000 rpm, 38 percent faster than high speed, and 34,000 bpm to allow for high performance drilling in masonry applications. The ergonomically styled hammerdrill features a unique 1/2 inch ratcheting chuck with carbide jaws prevents bits from slipping. It is also designed to store standard nut drivers, screwdriver, and bit tip holders. Included with the DC988KA is: one 1-hour charger, two XRP extended run-time batteries, one double-ended screwdriver bit, one 360 degree side handle, and a carrying case.
