If your work requires you to drill or drive in a lot of tight or awkward places (under sinks, overhead, inside cabinets, between pipes, etc.), this Black & Decker five-position drill/driver may be the perfect tool for you. The drill features a compact design and swiveling head that rotates 90 degrees front and back of center, with 45-degree stops along the way. A straightaway, inline stop even provides added reach for tight spaces in which a standard power drill might not fit. Lightweight and nimble, this Black & Decker drill is extremely maneuverable, as well. gimmicky, but works January 7, 2009

This drill reminds me of a riddle I heard when I was a kid, "What's the furthest you can be into the woods?"

The answer: "halfway".

So why would I need a drill that pivots 180 degrees? After 90 degrees, you're just repeating positions, and I only use 1 or 2 as it is. That being said, this is an okay little drill that has good battery life and gets the job done. my biggest issue is that the drill bits don't fully lock into place, wiggling annoyingly for about 1/4 cm in the socket. After heavy use, i can safely say they're not going anywhere, but i'd prefer a drill that I could tighten the bits with a key, regardless of how much the head pivots.

I have a joint hypermobility problem and can't deal with heavy objects for any length of time. This drill is light enough that I can work with it for more than short periods.

The angle adjustment is extremely useful although I wish it came with more bits. It has a decent amount of power for smaller jobs, but have come across jobs that it just can't handle.
Overall, I am very pleased with this drill.

All my old manual screwdrivers were dull and ineffective so it was finally time to invest in new tools. I used to avoid having to buy anything that required screws because I didn't want to deal with the strength required sometimes to drive the screws in as far as I want and calluses/blisters that would sometimes form on my palm from putting too much pressure manually. It was long overdue to get a power screwdriver, and I'm extremely pleased. Now I can't wait for reasons to need to use it! I'm a novice when it comes to electric/power tools and this was easy enough for me to figure out how to work with minimal perusal over the brief instructions included. It comes with a few starter bits, and they couldn't be easier to change out. It's powerful enough to deal with everyday jobs around the home, yet lightweight and easy to handle, which is all I need. I don't need to buy any additional components for this tool for my uses.

The only other thing I could wish for is a better way to monitor battery charge. As it is, I charge the battery by counting down the hours and relying on B&D's opinion of how long it should charge for as stated in the instructions (3-6 hours), and not by the red light on the charger because the light does not seem to go off ever; the purpose of the light on the charger seems to be only to indicate that it's plugged in - not that the battery is still charging. The light doesn't go off when the battery is fully charged like so many other products' chargers do. Perhaps I'm missing something there.

Good value overall.
